Kanye West Encouraged Kim Kardashian to Sing
Kanye West is responsible for Kim Kardashian’s ‘singing career’. Kardashian spoke to MTV News about how, if we like, and I encourage the same, we can begin directing our collective hate mail and muffin baskets from the Natural Harvest cookbook, to West. ‘Kanye was actually one of the people who really talked me into doing it and telling me, like, ‘Hey, look, what do you guys do for fun? You guys go shopping, you go to the movies. Kind of step into our world for a second and have fun, and we go to the studio.” That was the conversation that took place. Comparing entering the music industry to shopping. And suggesting Kardashian record between bites of her sammich. ‘OK, I’m not a singer, this isn’t what I do. I have too much other stuff going on. Is this really something safe for me to do?’ she opines, adding, ‘I’m just doing it for fun, and The-Dream wrote and produced the song, and Ciara talked me into doing it and said I should meet with him… It’s just one song, and it’s just for fun.’ So, it’s also the fault of Ciara and The-Dream, it’s ‘just one song’ and not a whole album. Kim is ‘smitten’ with Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian says she’s smitten with her new boyfriend, New Jersey Nets basketball player Kris Humphries, but she refrained from saying she’s in love with him per se, in an interview with talk show host Wendy Williams.
In an interview airing Friday, Williams asked Kardashian if she’s in love with Humphries. Kim responded, “Am I in love with this guy?…He’s a really, really good guy, and I think for once, I’ve taken the time with it. I’ve known him for months and definitely tried to keep it low-key.”
How’s their sex life? “I don’t kiss and tell,” Kardashian said.
As for reports that Kardashian is moving to the East Coast, she said, “I’m not moving to New Jersey. Kourtney and I, with the store, we love New York, [and] Scott’s from here. We are definitely checking out having a second kind of permanent place out here.”

Kim Kardashian: 'There's No Album in the Works'
When Kim Kardashian premiered her first song, reportedly titled “Turn It Up,” at TAO nightclub in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve, most assumed that it was just the beginning of the reality star’s music career. But as Kim revealed on MTV talk show “The Seven” yesterday (Jan. 19), “Turn It Up” will be her only song.
Three minutes into her appearance on the “TRL”-esque show, Kim gave viewers the skinny on her music career. Apparently she was nudged into the biz by pals like Ciara, Kanye West and “Turn It Up” producer The-Dream.
“Basically, Ciara came to me and was like, ‘You’ve got to meet The-Dream,’” Kim said. “I was not into doing a song. I thought, ‘Everyone kind of tries that, and it doesn’t really work out so well.’ So I talked to friends like Kanye and a few of my other musical friends, like this is their life. They gave me good advice. They asked me what I do for fun, and I said, ‘I go shopping, I hang out with friends.’ And they said, ‘We go to the studio for fun. Come have fun with us. Don’t think too much about it.’”
Kim continued, clarifying that an album is not in the works: “There’s no album in the works or anything — just one song we did for the show, and a video Hype Williams directed,” Kim said. “Half of the proceeds we’re giving away to a cancer foundation, because The-Dream’s and one of my parents passed away from cancer. It’s just all having fun — with a good cause.”
At the end of Kim’s minute-long explanation, her sister Kourtney Kardashian said, “That was the longest explanation I’ve ever heard.” Way to be supportive, Kourt.
Kim’s brief foray into the music industry will be well-documented on the upcoming season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” No release date has been given for her Hype Williams-directed music video, which is rumored to feature a cameo from Kanye West.

1. Lamar withheld sex until they were married?! Well, he tried to. “I didn’t know why I wanted to wait,” he tells Playboy. “We came together and knew what we wanted from each other really early, and everything we did felt good, from a hug to a kiss.” Lamar says he tried to be a gentleman about the whole situation until he was accepted by her family. “I thought, ‘We’re going to step back for a second. Keep it classy.’”

Khloé won’t let younger sisters Kylie and Kendall have a Facebook page unless she has the password: “I’m sure people who watch the show think I’m so wild and out there, but I actually had a very strict and structured upbringing. 5. The couple communicates often by text and something they’ve nicknamed iBone: “We are huge texters, we have, like, four-hour conversations,” Khloé tells YRB. “We love iChat with video. We like to have fun and keep the excitement going, so sometimes we call it iBone and give each other a little show.”
So that’s how they make it work. Lamar adds that his love for his wife stems from her strong family. “People have the wrong idea. They’re a really strong family and fun to be around…I’m perfect for that.”
