Old Navy Uses Kim Kardashian Lookalike in New 'Super C-U-T-E' Commercial

Buh-bye, creepy mannequins. Old Navy has launched a brand-new music-themed campaign, and the first commercial in the series features someone who looks a lot like Kim Kardashian. But while the singer bears a striking resemblence to the reality show star, there's a lot more to Old Navy's 'Super C.U.T.E.' spot than just a Kardashian vibe.

Without looking too deeply into it, a casual watcher would totally think Kim was rocking budget-friendly duds for the retailer, especially when she's using the phrase "super cute." But on second glance, it's more like the stars of the commercial are a hybrid of Kim and the Black Eyed Peas.

So what's the deal with the new campaign? Is Old Navy trying to trick fans into thinking Kim is starring in their new ad? Maybe, but the chain actually has a lot more in store for its customers. According to AdAge, Old Navy has implemented this music video commercial series with the help of music house Honor Roll and Grammy-winning director Joseph Kahn to produce original tracks from their band creations.

While the 'Super C-U-T-E' song, performed by the made-up group Audio Threadz, is total pop, other tracks featured in the campaign will range from country to hip-hop. But perhaps the most interesting thing about the spots is their integration with the app Shazam. Those who try to tag any of the songs in the ad series will not only be able to get info on the band, but they'll also be able to watch the video, download the song and find out about on the looks seen in the commercial.

It’ll be fine.’ I’ve said that every single time. And it’s served me well from a business point of view.”

On turning down a deal for a sex toy company for Khloe and Lamar: “The copmany wanted to know why I was turning them down. I said, ‘It’s just not the look we’re going for at the moment, but thank you.’”

On why the show works: “We’re just this big family with a lot of drama and a lot of issues, and there’s someone here for everyone to relate to. I think you’ve ever been embarrassed by your family - like your mother’s a kook or your father’s too strict - the show gives you hope.”

KIM TO DONATE PROCEEDS FROM SINGLE TO CANCER RESEARCH

We’ve been hearing rumblings about Kim Kardashian’s first foray into music for months now, so when are we officially going to hear the heavily hyped dance track “Turn It Up”? According to Kardashian and producer The-Dream, the single is just three weeks from hitting the radio airwaves.

When MTV News caught up with The-Dream recently, he let us in on a few more surprising facts about the track. First, they’re doing it for charity.

“One of the things that people didn’t know about the song is half of the proceeds are going to [support] cancer [research],” the Atlanta singer/songwriter explained. “[Kim's] father passed away from cancer, my mother also passed away from cancer when I was 15, so I decided we should give a lot of the money back.”

Dream added that the charity aspect was a big part of the reason the two teamed up in the first place. “A lot of people don’t know that because they make conversation about the other part,” he said, meaning the buzz behind the reality star’s music debut.

So, in three weeks’ time, where are we going to hear the song? “I think we’re going to debut it on KIIS with Ryan Seacrest,” he revealed of the plan to premiere it on the “Keeping Up With the Kardashian” producer’s morning radio show. “I hope I’m not getting in trouble!”

We hope not too, but we followed up with one more question regarding what will surprise people most about Kardashian’s vocal talent.

“I think in life, there are things you have to get yourself to do, and it’s not always about whether you’re better than anyone else, it’s about what you can put out and pull out of yourself, and she was able to pull something out of herself that a lot of people didn’t think that she could,” Dream said.

Kardashian has said the same thing, but she’s still feeling anxious about it. “I was really honest,” she told MTV News’ Sway Calloway on the Grammy red carpet. “I’m like, ‘You’re not gonna get Beyoncé here, you’re not gonna get Celine Dion,’ and he really pulled something out of me. … I was just so nervous.”

Khloe and Lamar Create ‘a Genuine Aphrodisiac’ Scent

Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom couldn’t be more in love with their debut fragrance — but the end product didn’t come about without a little friendly banter. “It took us nine months of disagreements before we finally agreed on the right scent for Unbreakable,” Kardashian tells PEOPLE at a launch event for the unisex scent at a Perfumania store in Orlando on Saturday.

Adds Odom: “It was hard to come to an agreement because we wanted to be able to live in this scent.” The duo finally found their magic elixir, which mixes notes like dark chocolate, nutmeg, cedarwood, sandalwood and jasmine — plus a touch of vanilla. “Unbreakable does come on strong. It is a genuine aphrodisiac that both men and women can relate to,” says Khloé, revealing that she sprays their sheets with it before they go to bed.

The couple aren’t the only ones loving the scent. Basketball star Odom says that he shared Unbreakable with his Lakers teammates while Kardashian asked some of her girlfriends to test it out. According to the couple, the response was a slam dunk. “Even metrosexuals like my brother Rob like it,” Kardashian laughs.

Khloe’s Valentine Dinner in New York

Pretty soon they’re going to have to rename the E! network and call it Kardashian Central.

E! already has Keeping up with the Kardashians, they did Khloe and Kourtney Take Miami, now they have Kim and Kourtney Take New York, and Khloe’s new Khloe and Lamar will be out soon.

But don’t you worry if you feel like that’s not enough Kardashian airtime. Sources are reporting Kourtney will soon have her own spinoff!

The idea behind the whole spinoff is a show which will follow Kourt and Scott Disick and center around their reported wedding plans.

One inside source reveals:

“The last episode of ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’ is Scott proposing. Then just like sister Khloe and Lamar, Kourtney and Scott will not only get their own show but also a wedding. It’s going to be TV gold.

What is going to make this new show a monster hit is that Scott and Kourtney are actually happier than ever. Heading toward the alter is the next step for them with or without the cameras.”

She’s so excited for the finale to air this April so she can finally go out in public with her ring on. She wears it at home all the time.”

The Kardashian clan has finally warmed up to Scott, accepting him into their close-knit crew, but don’t expect them to spill Kourt’s exciting news anytime soon. “The family is really happy about Scott and Kourtney’s engagement but they’re trying to keep it a secret so it’s a huge surprise on the show,” a second insider tells Life & Style.

So while Kourtney remains mum on the engagement for now, she tells Life & Style there’s lots ahead to be excited about for her and sister, Kim – who is dating basketball player Kris Humphries. “We have a lot of things going on and a lot of things to look forward to, too. What was the inspiration for your new fragrance?
The inspiration was us two doing something as a couple built out of love. We are so anxious to share a product that we both are behind and created on our own.

That’s the plan! Lamar & I are so passionate about Unbreakable so candles, body sprays etc r all things we plan on doing

Kim Kardashian has confessed that she almost ‘couldn’t fit her butt’ into her Grammy Awards dress.

The reality star, who attended the glitzy ceremony with brother Rob, said that she had last-minute problems with squeezing her behind into her bronze Kaufman Franco gown.

She told Ryan Seacrest for E!: ‘I had the biggest fashion emergency. I took it to another tailor and they tailored it to where my whole butt wouldn’t fit in it. I was freaking out and said that if I didn’t have a dress, I wouldn’t go.

‘The designers were amazing and they came in and met me and redid the whole thing.”
